Baptism |
Baptism is not just plain water, but it is the water included in God’s command and combined with God’s Word, that delivers the forgiveness of sins, rescues from death and the Devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this. Christ our Lord says in the last chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.” It is for this reason that we practice infant baptism.
God’s gift of Holy Baptism is for all ages, both young and old, infant to adult. Any parent desiring to have their child baptized, or any adult desiring to be baptized, is invited to speak with Pastor. We welcome your questions and look forward to this joyous occasion! Confirmation |
Confirmation is a public rite of the church preceded by a period of instruction designed to help baptized Christians identify with the life and mission of the church (Christian community).
8th graders go through a period on instruction with Pastor before being confirmed the first Sunday in May. Periodically, a confirmation instruction class is offered for adults as well. Interested? Contact Pastor Wolters |
